Saint Felix ENGLAND 1998-2004
It was at Saint Felix that I really caught the bug with coaching. It was a school with only 300 pupils but linking the swim curriculum with the squad was extremely effective in creating one of the best swimming small schools in the country. By the time I left, we were regular attenders and medalists at National events and the IAPS. We were also County Champions 3 years in succession.
Flying Fish ENGLAND 2005-2009
After I left Saint Felix I set up a coaching section of the School of fish. This was named Flying Fish and catered specifically for National and County level age-group swimmers to individually work on their race technique.
Bishop Mackenzie MALAWI 2009-2011
As a family, our first International teaching job was in Malawi. I was head of PE at BMIS and also the Aquatics Director and Head Coach. For such a small country, the quality of swimmers was outstanding and BMIS were the top swimming school in the region.
MALAWI NATIONAL TEAM 2010-2011
While in Malawi, I joined the Malawi Aquatic Union and took up the Head Coach of Malawi Swimming role. While in this position we travelled to Singapore (2010 Youth Olympics), Mozambique (African games), Botswana (CANA) and the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. Great Fun!
GWA DUBAI 2011-2016
The next International adventure was a move to Dubai. As head coach of GEMS World Academy, we became known as one of the strongest swim teams in the region and certainly the largest. Up until 2016 we were back to back winners at MEUC, GEMS Global and the NESAC Championships. A great team with fantastic costumes!
